How ohm meter omits body resistance ?

while measuring resistance using older ohm meters,if we hold both terminals of the meter to the resistor using our hands our body resistance will be added with the resistance value,but modern day ohm meter avoids body resistance automatically,what is the working principle,please help me on this,i thank you in advance for helping me.
