My dog has a tick and I can't get it off, help?

Today I found this tick right above my dogs eye. My dog is pretty nasty, she bites, and get angry, so when I tried to pull the tick off with the tweezers, she tried to bite me, and I just could not get that tick off! What should I do or use? and is it okay to leave the tick on her over night since I can't get it off?
