How would I get my necklace cleaned?

My boyfriend gave me a necklace for our 2 month anniversary and its now 7 months later and the chain rips my hair out and sticks to my shirt collars. It looks gross with all the hair knots and fuzzies on it. I want to wear it all the time but i don't know how to clean it. I have tried taking tweezers and pulling the stuff out but it don't help. Any advise?
