Why do I get one single ear hair every month?

I am 30 and a fair headed, pale skinned woman with little arm or leg hair. For about the last five years I have grown a single, course black hair out of my ear. I just pull it out with my finger, I don't need tweezers, but I think it's strange. I don't get any others, just one very curly, black, single hair every single month.
