A trick I tried on a pediatric patient was to place a piece of tape on the area where the splinter is and allow it to stick really good. Then remove the tape (pull the tape the opposite dircetion it is in your foot) . If there's a tiny piece of splinter left, the tape should adhere to the object and you'll have it ! This works really well on multiple tiny splinters such as cactus and is quicker too !!! Happy removing !
